ChemDraw and Chem3D

ChemDraw is a very helpful tool to create 2D models of amino acids and other molecules. Chem3D can be used to display molecules in 3D. These programs may require separate downloads.

UCSF Chimera

Chimera is a powerful visualizng tool that can be used for structural analysis of proteins and other biological molecules. We use it to set the visualizing style of our molecules including the way atoms are displayed and the size and thickness of the atoms and bonds.

Blender

Blender is a 3D computer graphic software. We will use it to build the 3D model (mesh) that can be used for 3D printing.

MolPrint

MolPrint is an add-on to Blender that makes minipulating and preparing the molecules for 3D printing much easier. It is created by Dr. Paul Paukstelis.
